Day 01: Guwahati – Shillong

Arrive Guwahati airport and drive to Shillong (140 kms / 4 hrs drive approx). Check-in in hotel and after refreshment if time permits we visit Cathedral of Marry and Ward’s Lake. In the evening, roam around the famous Police Bazaar on foot. Overnight will be in Shillong.

Day 02: Shillong – Cherrapunjee

After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (60 kms / approx 2 hrs drive one way). Enroute visit the famous Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak – to enjoy a bird’s eye view of Shillong city. Overnight stay will be in Cherrapunjee

Please note most of the waterfalls are active in monsoon season only.

Day 03: Cherrapunjee

After breakfast visit – Mawsmai Cave, Mawsmai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. After lunch in Cherrapunjee, visit Thankarang Park, Koh Ramhah and Khrem Falls. Overnight will be in Cherrapunjee

Day 04: Cherrapunjee – Mwallynong – Dawki- Shillong

After breakfast, you will head to Mwallynong (100 kms / approx 3 hrs drive). After visiting the village, drive to Dawki and visit Ungut River. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay.

Mawlynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong on the Shillong-Dawki Road, is a village of 75 households. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of its no dropout record and the village of 90 % literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, A Living Root Bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & leaves, broomsticks and pepper along with bee rearing are the primary economic activities of this Village and with the village headman himself taking the responsibility of making visitors comfortable, a day in this village gives an insight into the life of the Khasis, the influence of the Church and its metamorphosis. Overnight will be in Shillong

Please note it is advisable to carry packed lunch to Mwallynong.

Day 05: Shillong – Tezpur

After breakfast drive to Tezpur (300 kms / 7 hrs drive). Evening visit Ganesh Ghat and Coal park. Overnight stay in Tezpur.

Day 06: Tezpur – Dirang

Today after breakfast drive to Dirang (195 kms / 08 hrs approx), enroute at Tipi visit Orchid Center and enroute visit Sessa Orchid Sanctuary (blooming is from end March till May), reach Dirang and visit the Dirang Dzong and a Monpa village. Check-in in the hotel and overnight stay at Dirang.

Day 07: Dirang – Tawang

Today after breakfast drive to Tawang (170 kms / 07-08 hrs), enroute you will visit Sella Pass and Sella Lake situated at an altitude of 13476 ft. Before reaching Tawang visit the Nunarang fall. Reach Tawang and check-in in the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 08: Tawang

After breakfast visit Tawang Monastery, also visit Urgelling Monastery – the birth place of Sixth Dalia Lama Ani Gompa. After lunch, visit Tawang War Memorial and evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 09: Tawang – Bomdilla

After breakfast drive to Bomdila (180 Kms / 8 hrs drive approx). Visit Hot Water spring and Monestry. Overnight in Bomdilla Hotel

Day 10: Bomdilla – Kaziranga

After breakfast, drive to Kaziranga and arrive Kaziranga in the afternoon, check-in in the hotel. The evening is free and easy. Overnight stay in Kaziranga hotel

Day 11: Kaziranga

Early in the morning, experience an elephant ride into the Jungle. Return back to hotel for breakfast. In the evening, you will venture out for a Jeep safari into the Jungle. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 12: Kaziranga – Jorhat / Guwahati departure

After breakfast on time, transfer to the airport (Jorhat or Guwahati) to board your onward flight.
